Crescono gli investimenti in infratrutture tecnologiche nelle banche. Lo sostiene l’edizione annuale dell’Osservatorio Abi secondo il quale nel 2005 i primi 27 gruppi bancari, che rappresentano i tre quarti del settore, hanno investito oltre un miliardo in hardware e software, pari al 49,4% del totale. Tra le attività bancarie, nel 2005 internet ha contribuito per il 2,4% sulla redditività complessiva.
