Sarà il neozelandese Peter Dengate Thrush il sostituto di Vint Cerf a capo di ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers), l’organizzazione che regola l’assegnazione dei domini web. Thrush è in ICANN fin dalla sua istituzione nel 1998. Con la sua nomina, l’ente assume un aspetto più internazionale: Thrush è il primo chairman non statunitense. Confermato vice presidente l’italiano Roberto Gaetano.
