Anche Nec Electronics Corp. e Panasonic Mobile Communications Co. partecipano alla joint venture, che sfrutterà microchip e software basati sulla tecnologia W-Cdma per tagliare i costi dei cellulari e acquisire competitività sul mercato anche oltre oceano.
